How We Can Help
Therapy sessions with a licensed clinical social worker for adults and families/groups available in the following settings:
In-Person - Face-to-face meeting with a therapist in an office.
Virtual Therapy/Telehealth - Secure, online meeting over the internet through a secure client portal or phone call.
Opportunities for collective healing:
LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Therapy Group - Affirmative therapy is a type of psychotherapy used to validate and advocate for the needs of sexual and gender minority clients. It is an approach to therapy that embraces a positive view of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) identities and relationships and addresses the negative influences that homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism have on the lives of LGBTQIA+ clients.
Activist Care Circle - Our Activist Care Circle promotes wellness for folks involved in activism, community organizing and social justice work. Support group facilitators guide members through learning and reflection activities to discuss 1) the impact of oppression, marginalization and privilege on social movement work, and 2) self-care techniques to address stress, burnout and compassion fatigue.
Presentations on wellness and self-care for groups/communities in multiple settings including community centers, schools, libraries, churches, health clinics and hospitals.
Clinical Supervision - Support for social workers seeking preparation for licensure in the state of North Carolina. We specialize in supervision for social workers in medical/health settings.
Trainings and Presentations - Education events for healthcare professionals and other groups working with clients/patients experiencing trauma.
