Mindful Mourning is a grief-centered space created by Dakia "Kia" Davis, LCSW. This work invites you to move gently, honor your grief, and stay connected in ways that feel meaningful to you.

This project includes guided practices, a forthcoming book, companion resources, grief groups, and writing on grief, memory, and life after loss.

A Space for Grief, Memory, and Meaning

Whether you’re grieving a recent loss, carrying grief from years ago, or simply trying to understand how love and memory continue after someone dies, this space was created with you in mind.

There is no right way to grieve. My hope is that Mindful Mourning offers a place to breathe, reflect, remember, and move at your own pace.

Listen to the Guided Reflection

radiant wisdom

My chapter, “What the Year Gave Me,” is part of Radiant Wisdom: 18 Stories of Feminine Power, Purpose, and Rebirth. It explores grief, love, caregiving, and how loss can reshape our lives and relationships.

Still Connected grew from that reflection and offers gentle practices for those who want to continue exploring grief and connection after loss.
